Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment Adaptor MT290
The MT290 EVSE Extender interfaces Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) to test installation sockets. It verifies electrical safety and functionality of both single‑phase and three‑phase EV charge points. This easy‑to‑use instrument, when paired with the MT390 or a similar meter, gives electrical contractors a universal tool. The tool designed to thoroughly test Mode 3 AC electric vehicle charging stations. In addition, the adaptor simulates the connection of an electric vehicle to a charging point under test. With the PE Pre‑Test safety feature, the PE conductor can be checked for dangerous voltage against earth before use.
Furthermore, a rotary switch for the Proximity Pilot (PP) state “Cable Simulation” allows simulation of various current capabilities of charging cables. Another rotary switch for the Control Pilot (CP) state “Vehicle Simulation” enables selection and simulation of different charging states. Measurements on live conductors can be performed using either the front‑mounted mains socket or the 4mm measuring terminals for L1, L2, L3, N, and PE on the EVSE adaptor. Finally, standard accessories include both Type 2 and Type 1 plugs, supplied with a durable hard carrying case for convenience.
