15kV Diagnostic Insulation Tester MT587
The MT587 15kV Digital High Voltage Tester measures from 500V DC to 15kV DC with precise increments. Up to 10kV, ranges increase in 50V steps, and beyond that, increments of 100V apply. After each test, the MT587 automatically discharges the circuit, ensuring safe operation. By using the range button switches, you can select six preset ranges: 500V, 1000V, 2500V, 5000V, 10kV, and 15kV. With insulation resistance up to 50TΩ, the microprocessor‑controlled MT587 serves as a powerful diagnostic tool for insulation testing on rotating machines, transformers, cables, high‑voltage generators, electric circuits, and surge arrestors. Its short‑circuit current output reaches up to 6mA, making it highly effective in demanding applications.
In addition, the MT587 measures Absorption Ratio and Polarization Index for both AC and DC voltage. You can save up to 500 test results in the meter’s memory and recall them directly on the LCD display. The large backlit LCD clearly shows insulation readings, measuring time, output voltage, and output current. Furthermore, the MT587 measures AC voltage up to 750V, DC voltage up to 1000V, DCA up to 6mA, and capacitance up to 50µA. Housed in a robust case, it is ideal for extended field use and powered by 12.6V rechargeable batteries. Finally, stored data transfers easily to a PC via optical USB and supplied software, streamlining reporting and analysis.
