Universal Round Geyser Thermostat
The electrical power is connected to the thermostat, The thermostat probe fits into the element pocket. The thermostat does not come into contact with the water. The required hot water temperature is preset on the thermostat which in turn activates the geyser element and switches the element off when the desired temperature has been reached. The process is continuously repeated when hot water is drawn off or the water in the geyser cools down. Universal Round Geyser Thermostat 20AÂ
- Safety control The thermostat turns the element off when the set temperature is reached, protecting against overheating. The fuse/cut-out adds redundancy in case of thermostat failure.
- Energy efficiency Helps prevent over-heating of water beyond what is needed, thereby reducing unnecessary power usage.
- Compatibility / retrofit potential If your geyser has a standard thermostat pocket, a 20 amp unit of the correct probe length is often a direct replacement.
