PAG 46 is a hgih performance. Fully synthetic polyethylene glycol lubricant designed specifically for automotive A/C compressors using R134a or R1234yf refrigerants. It provides essential lubrication, prevents seal damage, and helps cool the compressor. Highly gyroscopic, it absorbs moisture, making it critical for servicing AC systems. 

• Primary Use: Lubricating AC compressors in cars, trucks, and specialized equipment.
• Refrigerant Compatibility: Specifically used with R134a, and some formulations are compatible with newer R1234yf systems.
• Properties: High lubricating ability, fluorescent for leak detection (in some formulations), and prevents seal swelling.
• Warning: It is highly hygroscopic; containers must be kept tightly closed, as moisture can damage the system.
• Application: When replacing a compressor, the new oil should be poured into the compressor, or drawn in via a vacuum

Oil must be added when repairing leaks, replacing components, or if the system is being re-gassed (recharged) to ensure the compressor remains lubricated and does not seize

• Reduced Cooling Capacity: The air is not as cold as it used to be.
• Unusual Noises: Humming, rattling, or whining noises from the compressor indicate lack of lubrication.
• Visible Oily Residue: A dark, greasy substance on hoses or around the compressor indicates refrigerant/oil leakage.
• Compressor Failure: The compressor does not turn on or is hard to start
