R-134a and R-1234yf systems have unique fittings so they can only be used with the appropriate corresponding refrigerants and equipment.
Connecting to Service Hoses: These couplers allow mechanics to attach manifold gauge sets and charging hoses to the low and high-pressure ports of R1234yf AC systems.
R1234yf is the standard refrigerant for most new vehicles due to its lower Global Warming Potential (GWP) compared to R134a.
The R134A fitting is different.
