Used in the suction line to clean up refrigeration and AC-systems with flourinated refrigerants after a compressor motor burn-out. Adsorbs harmful acids as well as moisture.

A burnout filter drier is a specialized HVAC component used to clean up refrigeration system. After a compressor motor has failed. These driers use a solid core with desiccants like activated alumina and molecular sieve to absorb harmful acids. Moisture, and other contaminants like wax and sludge that can cause premature failure of a new compressor

After a burnout: A motor burnout can contaminate the entire system with acids, sludge, and other debris.

Desiccant core: The solid core of the drier contains a mixture of materials. Such as 70% alumina and 30% sieve

Additional filtering: Some models also include activated carbo. To remove wax and sludge, and stainless steel mesh to filter solid particles
